The shape of the market
Incomes swing enormously by zone: single Venice and Santa Monica residents clear medians near $80,000, while Downtown LA sits under $30,000.
The metro skews male, about 53%, and it is sharpest in West Hollywood, where the country's densest gay-male enclave pushes the never-married-male share to roughly 61%.
