West Adams
West Adams is the neighborhood Los Angeles keeps trying to discover and then quietly re-price. The Craftsman and Spanish Revival blocks south of the 10 are genuinely beautiful, Adams Boulevard now carries a credible wine bar and natural-wine bottle shop run, and Mid-City's gravity does the rest. A date here reads as taste, not flash. The honest part: the 10 cuts the area in unforgiving ways, parts of Jefferson and Western remain genuinely rough after dark, and the new arrivals have already done what new arrivals do to rent. Worth it for the architecture and the half-empty patios, with eyes open.
