York

York is the I-80 county seat where you stop for gas and accidentally meet someone's cousin. As Lincoln's western satellite, about fifty miles out, anchored by York University, the Chances R supper club, and a downtown that still believes in main street, it runs on a dating economy of long acquaintance and shorter drives. The pool skews agricultural, evangelical, and already-spoken-for; the apps work, but slowly, and everyone you match with knows everyone you have matched with.
