Bethany
Bethany is a 20,000-person western suburb that runs on Southern Nazarene University and the legacy of being one of OKC's original dry-leaning enclaves. The campus crowd is earnest, churched, and largely paired off by junior year. Older locals settled here for the small-town feel and the school district, and they stayed. Route 66 cuts through with a few diners and the Lake Overholser dam, which is genuinely pretty at sunset. Dating prospects skew either undergraduate or long-married. The singles scene, such as it is, happens elsewhere in the metro. Bethany is the quiet half of a Friday-night drive, not the destination.
