Downtown
Downtown Minneapolis is the skyline you see from the plane: IDS Center, the Foshay, the Wells Fargo towers, all stitched together by the Skyway so office workers never have to admit it gets cold. Nicollet Mall does its best impression of a pedestrian street, the Mississippi runs along the edge with Stone Arch Bridge views, and the dining sits in two tiers: the steakhouse-and-rooftop set for expense accounts, the post-game crowd at Target Center and U.S. Bank Stadium. It empties out after work, which is either a feature or a bug depending on whether you live in one of the condos.
