Mountains Edge
Mountains Edge is the southwest's polite answer to wanting a yard, a Spring Mountains view, and a commute you can mostly tolerate. The 2,700-acre master plan leans on parks, trails, and the Exploration Peak hill the developers kept as a centerpiece, which is more landscape than most Vegas zip codes bother with. The tradeoff is the usual master-planned bargain: stucco uniformity, HOA letters about your trash bins, and a fifteen-mile haul to anything resembling a Strip date. Bring someone who thinks a sunset over Red Rock counts as a personality, because out here, it has to.
