Albany

Albany sits at the confluence of the Willamette and Calapooia, a mill town with one of Oregon's better-preserved historic districts and a downtown that has spent the last decade learning to call itself walkable without entirely earning the word. Dating here is small-pond geometry: you will run into your ex at Calapooia Brewing, and so will everyone you have ever matched with. The upside is genuine: cheaper rent than Corvallis, faster freeway access than Eugene, and a Saturday market that doubles as a soft first date. The downside is that the dating pool refreshes mostly through OSU spillover and the occasional Intel commuter.
