IOP is Folly's better-behaved cousin: the same Atlantic, minus the surf scruff, plus Wild Dunes, a Tom Fazio course, and the kind of beach houses that quietly clear seven figures. The connector from Mount Pleasant funnels in Charleston's professional set on weekends; the year-round crowd skews families and second-homeowners. For dating it works as the bougie alternative, sunset on the boardwalk at Coconut Joe's, dinner at the Boathouse, drinks at the Dunes resort bar. Less character than Folly, more polish. The trade is honest: you swap atmosphere for square footage, and most of IOP made that trade on purpose.
