Lisbon is the quieter half of the Mount Vernon hyphenate, a Lincoln Highway town that shares a school district and most of its restaurant list with the louder neighbor. The dating reality is a fifteen-minute drive: Cornell College's faculty crowd, Mount Vernon's wine bar, the antique-mall foot traffic on Saturdays. In town proper you get a coffee shop, a brewery taproom, and the kind of porch-light evenings that make people forget they meant to swipe. Cedar Rapids is twenty-five minutes west when you need a real night out. Honest tradeoff: the dating pool here is borrowed, not local, and everyone is on a first-name basis.
