Kure Beach

Kure Beach is what Carolina Beach was before the t-shirt shops moved in. Smaller pier, smaller crowds, fewer reasons to stay out past ten. The fishing community here treats the boardwalk-and-bachelorette set up the road like distant cousins they tolerate at holidays. Dating in Kure is straightforward: you walk the pier, you eat at one of the three places, you watch the light change over the water. The dating pool skews older and married, but the singles who do live here have usually opted out of louder places on purpose. Mutual self-selection is the whole pitch.
