Tanque Verde
Tanque Verde is where Tucson gives up on grids and surrenders to the Catalinas. The lots are bigger, the houses sit back from the road, and Saguaro National Park East is the de facto backyard. People keep horses here, or at least look like they could. Dating means actual hikes (Tanque Verde Falls if you trust the weather, Douglas Spring if you do not), Sabino Canyon drives, and dinners on patios that face the Rincons. The tradeoff is honest: you drive for everything. Groceries, coffee, anyone interesting under forty. Pick this neighborhood for the landscape, not the social calendar.
