Oregon
Oregon is the lakeside industrial belt that Toledo proper outsourced its refineries and its lake views to. BP-Husky stacks on one horizon, Maumee Bay State Park on the other, and a date economy that splits the difference between Walleye Festival kitsch and Mon Ami patio wine. Maumee Bay Lodge is the move when somebody wants a destination without committing to a hotel; the boardwalk does the romantic heavy lifting for free. Median rents stay reasonable because nobody pretends Oregon is Perrysburg. The trade is honest: refinery glow at dusk, a working-class bar map, and the only Toledo suburb where a first date can credibly involve a beach.
