Cazenovia
Twenty miles east of Syracuse on a glacial lake, Cazenovia is the kind of village where the bookstore knows your order and the porches are deep enough to mean it. Cazenovia College closed in 2023, which thinned the under-25 bench considerably and left the dating pool tilting toward established locals, weekenders down from Skaneateles overflow, and the occasional academic refugee. Lakeside Park does the summer heavy lifting; the Brewster Inn handles second dates. Winters are long, the lake freezes hard, and meeting anyone new requires either intent or a dog. Charming, slow, and quietly post-college in a way nobody has fully processed.
