Stonewall

Stonewall sits in DeSoto Parish along Highway 171, close enough to Shreveport for a reasonable commute and far enough to feel like its own zip code rather than a suburb. The town grew on oil-and-gas money and the school district, and that combination still defines it: working households, newer subdivisions, a few churches doing the social heavy lifting. Dating prospects skew local and known; the venue map is essentially Shreveport's, with a drive attached. People who land here tend to be deliberate about it, trading walkable nightlife for cheaper square footage and a quieter exit off the interstate. Modest, settled, unbothered by the rest of the parish.
