Aumsville

Aumsville is a fifteen-minute drive east of Salem and roughly that many minutes' worth of dating infrastructure. The town runs on Highway 22 commuters, a corn festival nobody outside Marion County has heard of, and the sort of quiet that married couples call peaceful and single people call Tuesday. Meeting anyone new locally means the grocery store, the elementary school pickup line, or driving back into Salem, which most do. The upside: cheap-ish houses, actual yards, and neighbors who notice when your car is gone. The downside is the same list, read by someone who wanted a bar within walking distance.
