Winter Garden
Winter Garden is what every Florida suburb claims it is doing and what almost none actually pull off. The Plant Street stretch is a genuine downtown, with a Saturday farmers market that draws West Orange in full, a brick-and-string-light theater, and the West Orange Trail threading cyclists through the middle of it. Growth has been aggressive, traffic on 429 is the cost of admission, and the new-build subdivisions blur into each other once you leave the historic core. Still, it is one of the few Orlando suburbs where a first date can credibly be walked rather than parked.
