The brick storefronts on Main Street are genuinely old, the Civil War history is genuinely heavy, and the boutique-and-bourbon circuit has been polished to a degree that flirts with theme park. Dating skews country-club-adjacent, churchgoing by default, and weirdly bimodal: thirtysomething transplants chasing the Hallmark version of Tennessee, and locals who watched the median home price triple and feel a way about it. Coffee at Frothy Monkey, dinner at 55 South, and an unspoken agreement nobody mentions Nashville.
