Walker's Point is where Milwaukee lets its hair down. The old foundry blocks south of the Menomonee now hold This Is It, La Cage, Bryant's cocktail lounge, and a stretch of Mexican kitchens on National that outlast every trend piece. It is the city's LGBTQ heart and its de facto late-night district, which means first dates skew loud, second dates skew honest. The rent has crept, the parking has not improved, and the warehouse-condo set occasionally forgets whose neighborhood this is. Still: nowhere else in Milwaukee gives you a Friday that starts at a tequila bar and ends genuinely surprised.
