Edgewater is what happens when Miami stops pretending and just builds upward. The strip between Biscayne Boulevard and the bay - Paraiso, Aria, Missoni, Elysee - has filled in fast, mostly with finance and crypto refugees from New York who wanted a balcony and a tax change. Margaret Pace Park does the heavy lifting on weekends: tennis courts, dogs, the skyline view across the water to the MacArthur Causeway. Amara at Paraiso is the date that signals you mean it; Mignonette down the street is the date that signals you have taste. Tradeoff: it is a wall of towers without a real Main Street yet, and Ubers everywhere.
