Mud Island
Mud Island is a residential peninsula between the Mississippi and Wolf River Harbor, reached by a single causeway from downtown. The Mississippi River Park and monorail-era museum give it tourist DNA, but the bulk of the island is quiet streets, river views, and tidy newer houses bought by people who wanted water without leaving the 38103. Tradeoffs are real: one road in, limited retail, and a hike to anything resembling nightlife. Dating-wise, expect first dates downtown or in Harbor Town's pocket of restaurants, then a walk along the river. Suits couples already paired off more than singles in scouting mode.
