Sun Prairie
Sun Prairie is what happens when Madison runs out of room and Epic keeps hiring. Subdivisions named after the cornfields they replaced, a downtown stretch on Main that tries hard, a Costco that anchors more first dates than anyone wants to admit. The dating pool is heavy on engineers, nurses, and recent transplants from Chicago suburbs who priced themselves into a starter home and a Labradoodle. Meet at Cannery Wine and Spirits, at Beans n Cream, at the Groundhog statue if you are being ironic. The upside is earnestness and disposable income. The tradeoff is that nobody moves here for the nightlife. They moved here for the schools.
