Havelock
Havelock is Lincoln's other downtown, annexed in 1930 and still acting like it got away with something. The Burlington shops built the bones, the antique stores and Cosmic Eye Brewing kept them warm, and Havelock Avenue between 60th and 64th does the unfussy small-business thing O Street keeps trying to recapture. Date here when you want a first drink that does not feel like a job interview. The tradeoff is geography. You are northeast of everything, the bus runs when it runs, and a Friday night in the Haymarket is a committed Lyft. Worth it for couples who treat distance as a filter.
