NoMa is the most engineered date neighborhood in DC: a decade ago this was rail yards and parking lots, and now Union Market, La Cosecha, and the Morse Street block anchor a walkable stretch between NoMa-Gallaudet and Union Station Metros. The pitch is logistics. You can do oysters at Rappahannock, walk to a film at Angelika Pop-Up, and put either person on a Red Line train inside fifteen minutes. Tradeoffs are honest: outside the Union Market block, NoMa still reads as podium apartments and surface lots, and the streets around First and N go quiet fast after 10. Go for the food hall, not the wander.
