East Walnut Hills
East Walnut Hills is the east side's quiet comeback, brick by brick. The neighborhood traded decades of drift for a slow, credible revival anchored on Woodburn and Madison, where the Woodburn Brewery and a handful of stubborn restaurants did the early work. The housing stock is genuinely good: Victorian bones at prices Mt. Lookout stopped offering years ago. The tradeoff is the usual reviving-historic math. Blocks turn fast, some still have not. For dates it rewards intent: you pick the corner, not the neighborhood. Less spectacle than the hilltops, more conversation, and the architecture does plenty of talking on its own.
