Southside
Southside is the part of Chattanooga that admits it used to be industrial and decided to monetize the brick. The Choo Choo anchors a district where warehouses became distilleries, parking lots became patios, and a working rail line still rumbles past the cocktails. Main Street and MLK pull a mixed crowd: out-of-town wedding parties, UTC grad students, and the Atlanta refugees who priced in before the listings caught up. The tradeoff is real. Rent climbs every quarter, weekends get loud, and the gravel lots that made parking easy keep turning into mid-rises. Still the most legible date map in the city.
