Bushland

Bushland is a bedroom community wearing an I-40 exit sign, which sets the dating terms before anyone opens an app. The population is small, married-with-kids skews high, and the singles who do live here are mostly commuting into Amarillo for work, groceries, and anyone new to meet. Not a complaint, just the geometry: dates happen 15 miles east, then someone drives home in the dark. Upside is quiet, cheaper square footage, and a school district people move for. Downside is that spontaneity costs gas money, and everybody clocks whose truck stayed over.
